What sort of bandage will be put on my neck after my neck lift and how long will it stay on?
Answer:
After a neck lift or a mini lift, I do place a pressure bandage around the area overnight. The patient may remove it the following day about the same time it was placed on. So, essentially we just leave it on for 24 hours. After that, historically, I used to have patients wear a supportive elastic bandage but have found that this is really unnecessary. So, I do allow patients not to wear anything after this bandage is removed after the 24-hour period.
