Lip Surgery
As we get older, our lips tend to lose their fullness andshape. Often the upper lip thins too much and can give the appearance of being angry or frowning.
Dr. Campbell and his team can restore your lips using injectibles, transfer and inject fat from another portion of your body, and/or use alloplastic implants (e.g. Gortex™), which look natural and can be temporary or permanent.
Injectibles & Fillers
Injectibles like Restylane® or Perlane® are the most common treatment, and only take minutes to perform in an office visit. Restylane® is made of non-animal based hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that exists in the body. When injected, it remains soft and pliable and takes on the characteristics of the surrounding tissue. Results appear immediately and last from six to nine months.
Permanent enhancement filler agents like Radiesse® (formally called Radiance® feel soft and natural and takes on the characteristics of the surrounding tissue. Radiesse® is made from a synthetic compound of calcium hydroxylapatite combined with an aqueous gel. When injected, it feels soft and natural and takes on the characteristics of the surrounding tissue. Its effects are immediate and will last one to two years with occasional touch-ups.
Post Procedure Some patients may benefit from cold compresses and prescribed medicines to expedite the healing process. Regardless of which procedure chosen, lip augmentation will restore the suppleness and curves you desire.
